It’s that time again to sign up for the next Cotton Cuts Puzzle Mystery! This spring, we’re diving into the Flyaway Mystery Case, and I can’t wait to join forces with both seasoned and newbie detectives. It’s gonna be a blast showing the newcomers how to crack the case! I’m super excited about all the amazing quilts we’ll whip up while figuring out this mystery! So, I thought I’d switch things up and pick three different color schemes to share on my YouTube Channel “Greenland Quilter” and in the “Greenland Quilter” Facebook group.
I even set up a poll so viewers and fellow quilters could pick what colorway suits me best. Of course, a lot of folks leaned towards my favorite colors, but they also know I’m all about color and suggested I try something a bit outside my usual vibe! It was awesome to see so many people getting involved, voting, and sharing their thoughts on why they chose a certain colorway — many thought it’d be a fun twist for me to explore something different too!
On the GQ FB Group these are the numbers:

I find it exciting that in both instances, the percentages are quite close! Many people shared their thoughts on why they voted for certain options and expressed their enthusiasm for me to explore option 3, as it would be a wonderful departure from my usual style. Others mentioned that my love of color makes option 3 (Phoenix) an appealing choice! A lot of comments highlighted option 1 as a fantastic option too, considering my fondness for purples.
After weighing the numbers and the delightful feedback, I feel incredibly encouraged by the comments influencing my decision. I’ve decided to embrace option 3! It’s refreshing to try something different and see where it may lead. I just know the quilt will be beautifully unique!

The Cotton Cuts Puzzle Mystery Spring 2025 is set to begin in February 2025, and I can’t wait! Signups will start on December 6th for everyone new to the PMQ experience. I invite all of you enthusiastic detectives to join us for this delightful Spring 2025 Mystery Quilt Along! It’s a ten-month journey, and I’ve truly loved piecing together the mysteries.
There are so many wonderful reasons to participate! You’ll be part of a large community solving a mystery while enjoying the creative process. Every 3rd Thursday, Cotton Cuts opens its Zoom doors for detectives to come together to sew and connect while providing help for our newer detectives with any questions. Joining the Zoom sessions allows you to make new friends, share the joy of solving a mystery, and receive support for any inquiries you might have. Plus, you’ll gain insider information from Kim Moos regarding future mystery QALs!
You never know what new inspirations you might discover! In the 10th month, Cotton Cuts opens its Zoom doors for a half-day sewing session featuring all the clues right after the reveal, which generally takes place on the last Friday of the month. After the reveal, we gather for a fun sew-together of the clues, with prizes awarded during the Zoom as well! Participating is a delight, and there’s a great chance you’ll complete all your clues during that session, leaving you with a fantastic sense of accomplishment!
I’ve formed wonderful friendships through Cotton Cuts, and yes, I’m proud to be a fan! They offer outstanding customer service, and Kim consistently introduces exciting new sew-alongs while her company contributes to projects that assist those in need! So come join this amazing community of people who share a deep love for the art of sewing!
